2024 Dodge Challenger Concept, Electric, Redesign – American muscle car sales will be intriguing to watch over the next decade. What would a muscle car look like in a more miniature world with a 6.2-liter V8 engine and rear-wheel drive in the Dodge Challenger’s 2024 model? Carmakers like Ford and Chevrolet provide tiny turbocharged four-cylinder engines for entry-level vehicles.
On the other hand, Dodge has stayed faithful to its core values. Only one of the engine options is less than 3.6 liters, which is around two times the size of the smallest Chevy engine. There are no additional options for entry-level V6 automobiles except all-wheel drive.
2024 Dodge Challenger Redesign
There have been no updates to the 2024 Dodge Challenger for another year. Even compared to the previous year, they’re a non-issue this year. The R/T Scat Pack, the SRT Hellcat, the SRT Hellcat Redeye, and the Super Stock now have a luxurious security system added. This feature is now part of the Convenience Group package, which is available on SXT, GT, and R/T models. The SRT and Super Stock variants are analyzed independently.

On the other hand, the 2024 Dodge Challenger 2-door coupe’s interior is a disappointment. There is an allure to the Mustang’s lower sticker price, but it gives a lot more for that price. Two things, on the other hand, deserve praise. One of the three most renowned muscle cars, the Challenger, is the most spacious and comfortable of the three.
Thanks to continuous updates, it has been able to stay on top of connection developments over the years. The Challenger’s reduced stance and two-door coupe design make it difficult to enter and exit, especially for passengers in the back. This is a unique selling point when comparing the Dodge to its rivals. With its wide rear pillars and small rear window, this car is difficult to look out of. The lack of blind-spot monitoring further adds to the difficulty.
A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 powers the base models rated at 303 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. The eight-speed automatic transmission can only be used with this configuration. However, the conventional RWD can be upgraded to AWD without restriction. Despite Dodge’s commitment to a large capacity entry-level engine, turbocharged rivals outperform them. The 2.3-liter turbocharged Mustang accelerates to 60 mph in 1.4 seconds, compared to the normally aspirated Mustang’s 3.7 seconds.
There’s also a six-speed manual transmission available, which delivers 375 horsepower and 410 pounds-feet of torque when coupled with the V8’s 372 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. The manual transmission is excellent, but this engine doesn’t work well with automatic transmissions. Maximum power and torque are generated at a speed of little more than 5,000 revolutions per minute (rpm). Manual transmissions should have a motor that spins at least 8,000 revolutions per minute.
The 6.4-liter V8 in the Dodge Charger produces 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque but has the same problem. Powerful torque is spread out across the torque curve but supplied in large portions. Because of this, we recommend using an automated system. The transmission shifts more swiftly as a result of the paddles on the steering wheel, which allow for manual override.
EPA fuel economy estimates are 15/23/18 mpg in the manual transmission model and 16/25/19 mpg in the automatic model. The 6.4L Widebody models get 14/23/17 mpg in the city and 15/24/18 mpg on the highway. The 18.5-gallon fuel tank of the most fuel-efficient 2024 Dodge Challenger allows it to go 426 miles on a single fill-up.
2024 Dodge Challenger Release Date and Price
The 2024 Dodge Challenger starts at $29,065 MSRP and goes up to $32,065 for the GT. AWD is only available on these two models, which cost an additional $3,000 to purchase. The R/T Scat Pack with the larger V8 costs $41,840 more than the basic V8 R/T. Only the R/T Scat Pack Widebody exceeds $48,000.
